Cloudy conditions with low pressure really turned the bite on Monday. Most of my fishing is light tackle in search of Striped Bass.  So far, the fish have been hitting the 7” Hoggy soft bait, every color. I’ve been primarily in the Eastern Sound and have been watching rip lines and seeing some bird activity. Have not had a lot of Bluefish activity yet, but with the rising water temperature I suspect they’ll start showing up in real numbers over the next few weeks. Fishing should just continue to get better and I’ll be back next week to report back on how the fishing shapes up.

The event raised $5,780 for the Connecticut Marine Trades Association (CMTA) Scholarship Fund, which supports the next generation of marine industry professionals. Atlantic Outboard matched all proceeds collected, bringing the total donation to $11,560. This brings the total donated over the last six years to $43,243 to local nonprofits.
