Westbrook, CT – On August 5, 2024, Atlantic Outboard proudly donated $15,628 to the “Team Avery” CDKL5 Research Team. The donation was accepted by Mark Leopoldino of Bill’s Seafood, who represented Team Avery. Mark’s daughter, Avery, is courageously battling CDKL5, a rare genetic mutation disorder for which there is currently no known cause or cure. The funds were raised during the 5th Annual Duck Island Raft Party, held on August 3, 2024, near Duck Island off the coast of Westbrook, CT.
Several hundred boats and an estimated 2,000 people attended the event, which included live music and giveaways. Over $7,814 was raised, and Atlantic Outboard matched the amount to bring the total donation to $15,628!
